Mad Therapist on Content, Adsense, Traffic, Interests, Clicks, Audience

The penguin guy made a really good point. I've seen a lot of these blogs and not a lot of them I would visit because they just talk about how to increase blog traffic, but they have no blog traffic. Clicking on each other's ad links is against Adsense's policy, you get banned, and not a lot of people are willing to do it.

I have an idea. I'll start, and in the replies we will say WHAT OUR BLOG IS ABOUT and WHAT KIND OF BLOG WE WOULD READ. That way we'll get a sense of an audience. There are a TON of people here and if we find a reply about a blog that matches what we would want to read, then we can follow it.

My blog is sadly all over the place, but I'm gung ho about it and I update 3 times a week. I have narrowed it down to my trials in life and how I go about fighting them. I've been through a lot and because of this I consider myself a very strong person. There are weak people out there who need help. I also try to be funny because everyone loves to laugh.

I would read blogs about survival horror video games, becoming a vegan, food, and ones that make me laugh. Mostly ones that make me laugh. Webcomics are indeed awesome.

Hello Mad Therapist. My blog is also, lol, sadly all over the place too.. its just expression of thoughts and likes.. music, art, illustrations, secondlife, kids, everyday life kind of thing.. i like to read blogs about everyday things, life, humor and have the same kind of interest.

Thank you. I may just check that out. Like I said mine is all over the place, but now I'm thinking of a problem solving blog, solving things in a healthy way.

AMEN! Sometimes I feel like I'm the ONLY person out here who notices that!

As someone with a google page rank of 4 (it was 5 before I changed my URL and I expect it to get back to 5 soon) and regular and frequent traffic that I've built up over the past EIGHT years of consistent honest and thougtful blogging, I quite frankly find it insulting to have some self-proclaimed SEO expert, so-called blogging pro offer to review, critique or comment on MY blog (when quite plainly they have NO real traffic, NO page rank and NO expertise whatsoever!) I delete all obvious attempts at commenting on my blog for traffic and I don't vote/click/follow anyone who I wouldn't consistently read!

My blog is an art, photography and lifestyle blog. The art and photography is my own. In the course of sharing my art and photos I also share my day to day life, my opinions on things and well, quite frankly, all sorts of nonsense too!
