Politicians dump crap on the Internet, on websites and in press releases.
I would hope that writers and bloggers would be more particular and professional.
If writers and bloggers are brainstorming and slinging ideas, then, I'd call it creativity - not crap.
Leave the crap for the experts who shovel it - with huge shovels and plenty of it -- The Politicians.
Writers and bloggers are Riders Of The Realm, we take our life experiences and slip into the saddle and ride the electronic range.
We reflect on where we have been and where we are going. We round up knowledge, We put our brands on ideas. We herd our ideas into boxcars of blogs to deliver to hungry readers.
We ease the reins and turn the horse to the sunset and lope along to wait for the next sunrise of inspiration.
We bundle up against the storms of indecision and shrug off erratic lightning flashes of undeveloped thoughts.
We stroll through the dampness and chill of ideas that soak through and want to be heard. We snuggle down to toss and turn against our nightmares and fears. We seek the strength of slumber.
Back in the saddle, we stare at the horizon and lope along the prairie. Then, we spur on our sudden inspiration and rough ride down into the canyons of passion, across the prairies of imagination, to rush after the stray steers of ideas.
We work our horse of skill around to cull out some of the steers and move the others along until we have enough to corral into paragraphs.
The paragraphs get loaded into the boxcars of a blog to create an iron horse post that will bring the readers along on an adventure to feed their eyes and nourish the hunger of their minds.
Then, we ease back in the saddle and move the reins to turn our horse of skill back to rest up for awhile until the next roundup of writing.
And, the manure, or crap - along the trail - we leave it for the manure salesman and fertilizer dealers - the politicians - it's their inspiration.

I started blogging after commenting at Philip Dawdy's blog, a journalist that writes about harms of psych-drugs, for 3 months.
I started my first blog and I've been blogging for more than 3 years.

hmmm blogging wasnt really a choice for me, im getting a grade for it in school and i was told colleges look at them so yep.but looking at the blog as a whole i would say its a good place to rant lol it saves paper it helps people get out what they feel and helps people to help others without being face to face

I would hope that while blogging was considered a grade in school, I would suspect the teacher was trying to inspire students to apply the idea of "an informed citizenry."
The "rants" are just a way most of us blow off steam in print and try to see if we are alone or if other people are also upset about similar issues.
The best case scenario, enough like minded people come together to bring about a positive legislative change.
Even if nothing happens, at least, you exercise your fingers and get some of the frustration off your chest.

I started blogging back when I was 15 and still in high school. That time I considered a blog as an online journal (and still do sometimes), so all I did was rambled about how my day was and what I did in school.
I took that blog with me up until college. I began to learn how to blog properly and how to write for an audience, so I decided to cancel that old blog and start anew.
Basically, I started blogging because I wanted to express myself through the written word, share my passions and joys with my readers, and help others through the content I create.

Nowadays, very few people feel like living their lives unnoticed. There's a necessity to prove your existence in this World and also being accepted by as many people as possible. It's already part of who we are.
The internet gives you an opportunity to express whatever you think is worthy showing to others. Luckily for all the bloggers out there, we don't have to be celebrities or movie stars to get our 15 minutes of fame (meaning attention)!
Some can consolidate this attention for a longer period of time. Some can't.
Using the tools we have, each of us eventually get what we want.
The journey is what inspires me. The destination is just a detail.

So I decided that I had to start another blog about good things that people do and also about what I like: art, literature, philosophy, humor....
Two years ago I started Hella Heaven.
This blog has received a lot of hits and... is number one at this directory for some weeks.
I don't know how to thank you all and, seriously, I don't know why it received all this attention.

I’ve realized I blog just so I can reach somebody from the other side of the world, even though most likely I’ll never meet the person face to face. I can die tomorrow, but I left a piece of myself for someone to find. I am sure it sounds vain, but I don’t mean to sound like that. I secretly read thoughts of such fascinating people, and I’m glad they’re willing to share their thoughts to a random stranger. I never thought I could change from the inside out by exploring somebody else’s life on the world wide web. I’m such a fickle girl; I move like the waves of the ocean. I explode on impulse, but only ‘cause I feel like my entire body is a time bomb. I hope growing older means you become more wise. I need all the wisdom I can get with my weak palms. I want to explore till my legs can’t take any more and go out with a bang. I want to leave a mark just so somebody know I was here.

The reason I started blogging was to reach out to people like me beyond my little area of the world. Being an asthmtic respiratory therapist, I have a passion for helping breath better and to help them to understand how to better control their condition so they can lead fuller lives. I've got a feeling that the vast majority of people out there are touched in some way by either asthma, allergies, or both. I'm out here to educate and help in any way that I can.

I started blogging after I lost my job. I continue blogging because it's addictive. I love to write and publish my pieces online, then hopefully receive comments.

Being a IT student, later Professional, I need some software even friends are asking for some software. When I'm going to search a software there are lot of site is come, most of the sites offers click here--click here-- again and again,at last trial version, do sign up.. so lot harassment.. Who are new user, they can't find a good software. That's why I started my blog about collecting software and download with just one click. I always wanted to blog, But I never had anything to blog about - finding a niche was difficult, then I started writing for magazines and I was told that blogging would help me get more well known... so I started one, I thought I'd only update it when my stuff was published. However I then got the blogging bug and if I didn't write/blog then I'd feel down or frustrated especially if there was something bad going on in my personal life. Luckily I found my nice (dating & lifestyle) and although I still use it to let people know of my latest articles, I still blog about other things too...
The great thing about blogs, is the fact you can stumble across people from all walks of life and in every different country and know how they feel at a particular point in the day/week/month etc you get to 'know' a person without having to meet them... blogging is very special, something close to my heart.

I want to share my thoughts which I can't share with the ppl I know.As I'm a good listener ,so when it comes to talk I just listen to them.But I can't share about my own thoughts as none listens,all wants to tell and just be free from the stress they r in .Well! Love to solve others trouble to just by listening,so that can b another reason.

I started mine as more of a way to keep me motivated in taking pictures and learning. I have challenged myself with posting one photo per day and writing a small piece about the photo. Hopefully this will help me get over any fears of writing that I might have (cause I honestly hate writing)

well looking back now,i felt i wanted a platform to motivate and build people,but it was a bit tough getting one in the society so i decided to create one for myself.
Ever before blogging,i had always written articles as a contributor to the hostel board and later as an editor of the same.
blogging brought on new opportunities and i have never looked back since then.

I just love writing, but pre-blog I always just wrote for myself. It's not as much fun when no one reads it. I would try and force my friends to read my vacation journal every time I came back from a trip, but they weren't very supportive of it.
Since I started blogging in 2001, I've accumulated readers who actually WANT to read what I put out there, and it's nice, validating even. Plus, I've developed friendships with a lot of those readers, some of which have translated into "real life" friendships. I love that part of blogging, where people find that they can relate to you and in turn share their own stories. There's really nothing quite like it.
Since I started blogging in 2001, I've accumulated readers who actually WANT to read what I put out there, and it's nice, validating even. Plus, I've developed friendships with a lot of those readers, some of which have translated into "real life" friendships. I started writing this blog out of frustration :) - I am Italian and the Italian food that I find in North America is often embarrassing... My blog then became a lot more technical. I started researching the reasons why even basic ingredients are different across the Atlantic, and studying the origins of the different traditions around food. It's a fair amount of work, and I would have probably given up by now if it hadn't been for my readers. Almost all of them are bloggers themselves, and I really would like to take advantage of this to thank them. Thanks Bloggers!

Before the Internet and computers - Writers were the "Elite Of The Fleet" - their books got published and stocked on bookstore and library shelves for future readers to uncover and briefly raise up the window back to the past.
Thanks to technology we live in Real Time. We can share our hopes, dreams, successes, failures with readers and hope that in some dusty corner of the Internet our comments get filed away to be uncovered by a future reader.
As a writer and blogger, I just want to say:
I was here.
I loved.
I hated.
I laughed.
I cried.
I succeeded.
I failed.
I'm a person in the past, who, no doubt, went through what the person in the present and the reader in the future is going through.
Our differences in Time and Space might be separated by technology; but, human nature is like the sun rise - it continues.
The man who put the harness on the horse to hook it to the buckboard really isn't that different from the man who slides into the seat of his sport utility van and puts the key in the ignition because earning a living is a constant of human nature.
I became a blogger to set up shop in my little corner of the present. Someday, in the future, I would hope a reader strolls by my desk and opens up the dusty electronic bound volume of writings.
If he or she, kicks back in a comfortable chair and wipes their eyes from moisture and then, snickers and burst out laughing, then, I will have left the emotions in my writing that will have survived my brief presence in the world.

Great question. I began my blog in memory of my mum, and also to share health and wellness tips from the world of alternative health. I am a home mom and wanted to be able to give back by working from home, and still be able to pick up my kids from school and be present at after school activities.
It's working so far, after a year of writing I have over 100 blog posts on my main blog and sometimes make (a little bit) of income, enough to cover blog costs etc.

I started out as more of a business thing, but over time it has gone through some changes.....still some business, but more of a fun informational sharing type thing. Not so stiff, and professional, but hopefully more comfortable to visit with. I have expanded my area of selling, and have enjoyed the "new" that I have added as more people get involved with it, and it widens areas for audiences to reach too. I always ask that when visiting you are can leave a comment on any of my pages, but most of all to say Hi so that I can come visit with you too:)

I kind of stumbled into it. I was never inclined towards blogging, but I always had a lot of thoughts about the technology sector and the way it was shaping up. During one of those discussions, one of my friends told me that I should start a blog. A few days later, I did, and I haven't looked back since.
