A sunny 75 degree winter day the city is still cold the DTLA streets are rugged and old, the palm trees sway in the wind spewing out the salty sea breeze air that's littered with sin. The sprawling city of famous actors and Hollywood streets, filled with has been's while the producer spits on his one time money making actor from his Benz. The crowded freeways, the smog that settles looks like smoke coming out of a kettle...LOS ANGELES the ocean breeze spreads from the calm pacific making California terrific, beautiful snow covered mountains and down below the scene can be horrific; traffic start at 11:30 a.m. meaning rush hour died for 30 minutes; depending what freeway you drive like the 405 the traffic is forever alive. Known for it's gang life, a style that I once emulated in my youth; until I seen a drive-by and a man in wheel chair was shot; the party scattered as the gun shots rang the air and laughter disappeared...LOS ANGELES.....weed shops when you look left, half naked women posing doing a duck face look, the only city were you can dress like a nerd and still be a crook, the city were police do not play by the book, check April 29th 1992, there was a riot on the streets tell me where were you? (Sublime quote) Hollywood and highland...clubs let out two or three in the morning, bars spilling out with liquor filled "OMG I just received a text from my ex and he said he want to have sex!" The land of the angels with devil shadows, the land of the angels...not all of us are bad...I love this city...the city of style, diversity and the winters are mild...but at heart I'm a New York child.....bi-coastal....the land were gays and lesbians roam the W.Hollywood streets, the city were at two in the morning I can get a hit on by a transvestite creep yet have a conversation and find out this is the person I was suppose to meet...diversity, adversity for the true colors will be shown in this city when you visit; Dean Martin is my name but in Los Angeles it's pronounced different amongst the Latinos nick name being Dino Martino has seemed to follow me hallow be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done is what was prayed as the gun shots rang over my head at a party I knew my gut said no....but at 17 that girls butt said yes...LOS ANGELES it's not so bad it's actually fun this is the city were we eat sushi and go for three mile runs eat hamburgers at In-n-out without the bun...lol LOS ANGELES...animal style fries anyone? =) lol
