It is quite possible, I've seen it happen many many times. Relationships are built on emotions and trust, not physical contact, but physical contact sure helps.

Love yes, but in love, as in romantic, no. Part of a successful romantic relationship is physical.

Yes, you can develop a deep connection with a person through writing. Think of love letters, poetry that people have written for someone.

It's possible to fell in love with someone even if you're just communicating through internet. But it's hard to make sure if the feelings are mutual. If you really love each other, you have to make a move.
