MY BOSS and I
When I Take a long time to finish,
I am slow,
When my boss takes a long time,
he is thorough.
When I don't do it,
I am lazy,
When my boss does not do it,
he is busy.
When I do something without being told,
I am trying to be smart,
When my boss does the same,
he has taken the initiative.
When I please my boss,
I am apple polishing,
When my boss pleases his boss,
He is cooperating.
When I make a mistake,
I am a useless idiot.
When my boss makes a mistake,
it is considered as "only human".
When I am out of the office,
I am wondering around.
When my boss is out of the office,
He is busy and out on business.
When I am on a day off sick,
I am lazy and always sick.
When my boss is a day off sick,
He must be very ill.
When I apply for leave,
I must be going for an interview .
When my boss applies for leave,
it's because he's overworked
When I do good,
my boss never remembers,
When I do wrong,

I totally agree too! That's how bosses are today. I'm having a great grudge on my boss. Grr!

It's so, you did not make it so.That is how it was,has been, and will continue to be.....dont tell me that you as a salary earner being employed by a boss should compare yourself with your Boss...

This poem styled expression is more than 40 years old, and I remember reading it as a proof reader in a printing press in 1969. I saw it again a few days ago in some web forum, and so copied it out for more to know. All oy you are liking the expressed reality.

Without that salary earner, where is the boss. What use is the face of the clock, when the elder and younger brother do not go in circles for 24 hours day after day?

I don't think it is comparing one wit one's boss, it comparing the way you are treated wen you both do the same thing. it's showing how there is a double standard in how they are treated. Like when a man sleeps with a lot of women he's a stud, but wen a woman does it she is a floozie. Not comparing the two just giving another example of a double standard. And of course its not right as usually the employee is doing most of the work at times.

There are a lot of salary earners working for one Boss....also there are millions of unemployed people seeking a job for half that salary....so what say you....The salary earner should always consider him/herself a salary earner as long as him/her is a salary earner...thanks

The boss is also earning a salary from the purchases by customers. What bosses need to know is on both sides are humans. Customers on one side and staff on the other. If any one of them walk out on hime, he is A DEAD DUCK. If you can be good with your customers, be fair with your staff as well. No reason to pamper, but train them, develop them, have monthly dinners and get together and family meet ups every quarter. BE A HUMAN WITH HUMANE QUALITIES.
