LA Green
Ok so I was watching the Lakers play one day and realized they are not as bad as people were saying they were; defense does not exist with this team. If they had a decent defense and maybe a better bench, I think the Lakers would be golden. But I came up with a theory. The last time the Lakers won was in 2009. Since then, they have been steadily going down hill. Does anyone find that weird? I do just a tad bit. Why? Here's my theory: Kobe so far has already broken records, has passed Magic Johnson in rings and if he get's just two more, he'll tie with Jordan and then pass him by one. I think Jordan and the Lakers organization cut a deal. I think what if, Jordan approached Buss and said, I don't want Kobe beating my record; I'm prepared to make a deal with you to make sure that doesn't happen. So do whatever it takes to make sure the players around him are no good. and Wala! like magic, stupid decisions start being made, as in coaching, players who are a perfect fit for the team end up going to another team, players who were starting to do well get traded...right at the end of Kobe's career. Why would Jordan do this?
Jordan being the greatest player in basketball history, having more rings then any other player in the past and present league, his shoes sell out with in 5-10 minutes at any store and on average has a crowd of about 300 people at the mall still to this day. So what happens if the Lakers go on a run while Kobe is still playing and he racks up a couple more rings? Shoe Endorsements. Nike, Adidas, Rebook and any other shoe company is going to want to make a trade mark shoe that can compete with Jordan.
