hey mad welcome to bloggers and to blogging .

Looked at your site and the colors are really funky :). Your topics are pretty interesting as well so that's cool.

A tip would be that you add some plugins that allow your readers to share your stuff. Most blogs these days have a sharebar that lets viewers post, tweet, digg, pin, their stuff so that their friends can read em as well. If you're using wordpress, and it seems like you are (but I could be wrong), just search sharebar on the add new plugin option.

You might also want to use the "read more tag" or click on the option that only shows summaries of your posts on the front page. It's usually better to just show sumaries so that your FP isn't too long and loads a lot quicker. It also makes it easier for your viewers that land on the front page to scroll down to browse your recent stuff and decide what they want to read.

And finally, guest posting and social media are probably the way to go for a blog like this if you want to promote it. It's a bit too diverse to have main keywords (from my assessment at least) so you'll need to get traffic from other sources. Once you site gets shared, and once you get links from blogs, your Page rank should go up (it's currently 0) and google should start showing you some love for some long tail and unexpected keywords.

Good luck and happy blogging :)

Oh and you might want to set up an about page and a contact me page. The former is sort of a prerequisite now pretty much because people normally want to know what you're all about. Given your blog being so diverse, you might want to give your readers a heads up.

The contact me page is so that people can get in touch with you for whatever reason. Sometimes people need to talk to you about things that they don't want to disclose to everyone so just commenting isnt always enough

Wow thanks for the advice. I had no idea people actually cared about the blogger WAS.

Malds ∙ 36 weeks ago

what's blogger "WAS" lol. I'm not familiar with the term haha.

And one last tip, you might want to connect your blog to your G+ profile. It looks a lot more pro that way. I'm sure you've noticed pictures appearing beside google searches, that's what this does.

Well, to me your blog looks ok. You just need to add some internal pages, contact page and some social sharing widget. Then all you need to do is focus on promoting your blog.

Helloooo

Welcome to the world of blogging and bloggers 8) I hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do hehe 8P

Your blog has your unique style and the content is interesting, nothing to really fault there, guessing the main thing now is to connect and interact with other bloggers like joining forums and chatting 8)

Hey Madison, welcome to Bloggers. I prefer Blogger. As WordPress is considered to be more powerful than Blogger, still Blogger is comfortable for newbies. It is my personal opinion. In Blogger, you can customize your template easily, can connect your blog to Google+ and all these don't need much effort. I visited your blog. It looks good, but you should change or modify your theme. I also saw multiple social plugins, videos etc. on front page. These may cause your blog to load slowly. as Mr. Malds pointed it out already. You can make your blog better by doing a little work on it. Best of luck. if you need any help customizing your blog, you can contact me at splendidblogger@gmail.com
