On the post of jealousy, I would like to expand the question.

Teddy on Love, Blogs, Bloggers, Lifestyle

What do you think CAUSES the reaction of jealousy. Some say that when one thinks less of themselves, that causes jealousy. That may be no doubt. but I believe that jealousy is the cause more often when someone has made them feel inadequate, whether in their observance in their partners reaction towards other women or men. More so now that you have the brainwashing of one race being better than another. I believe that jealousy is a learned reaction to an action ... What do you think causes jealousy .

I'm actually a very jealous person. Sometimes, even tiniest of the ignorance, or the importance given to someone else by the person I love can make me jealous to large extent!!

would you consider this to be the part in my post that says... jealousy is cause more often when someone has made them feel inadequate, whether in their observance in their partners reaction towards other women or men ???

The jealousy I encountered with an ex stemmed DIRECTLY form her own insecurity. She was a gorgeous woman, but if I even so much as looked in the direction of another woman it was a fight. It was strange and I flat out could never understand it. It hampered everything in life, and constricted anything I could have felt for her.

How I wonder can one as beautiful as you have said have so little confidence in herself. Hmmmmm. Do you think that it could be childhood related ?

Its hard to say.... I never fully understood it. But it was very odd...

I think jealousy can be stemmed from a variety of different sources. Sometimes it has to do with a person's past; if one has been cheated on or lied to by a significant other in the past they tend to be more jealous in fear that it will happen again. Other times it may be because they think of straying from a relationship so they fear their sig other may have similar thoughts. And then there's always people with self esteem issues. If you can't appreciate yourself it's pretty hard to imagine that anyone else would appreciate you. I'm sure there are many other causes and that they vary from person to person. I'm not a very jealous person, so this is pretty well the only insight I can offer.

If you are not confident in yourself, then you can become jealous of what you perceive others to have.

I agree with you and Kalamity . after you have been knocked down so many times it is hard to believe that there will be anything different and so you flinch on anything that LOOKS like a possibility of losing again . But at sometime you just give up.

Jealousy exists in u & u remain unconscious merely nurturing that false emotion is a big question mark on ur maturity. Actually, friend ....jealousy originates when u shift ur attention from self introspection to comparative judgement which necessarily takes ego into account. Hence Jealousy is the byproduct of ego in substance. To overcome that blunder which spoils ur peace of mind it is ought to refine our mindset through spiritual wisdom & sound thinking patterns....friend!

What do you think about the part in the Bible that says God is a jealous God ?

Ritesh Srivastav ∙ 19 weeks ago

Probably that shows God's utmost lovingness towards the humanity that makes Him jealous from the failure of mankind to liberate themselves .Otherwise there is no comparitive identity in the universe that can make Him jealous in simpler terms & actually how can the evil of jealousy be the part of that fundamental nurturer of the universe who blesses everyone without discrimination. In our spiritual belief system its a fallacy to define God in terms of jealousy my friend & if u go by logic then too it is impossible to relate Him with an evil because this will go against the laws of religion which is the main source of God's belief system!

when God says He is a Jealous God, He strictly refer to His commitment to us and ours to Him. He does not want us to have any affair with anything that is not His including failures and likes. in other words all is for our best. www.hagiosnife.com

Gday Teddy

Yes I reckon jealousy is represented by inadequacy. Im no great fisherman but Ive been out with others fishing & they would catch a lot more than I did & yes I was jealous & the reason I was jealous is I had an inadequate knowledge of fishing.

Jealousy can be quite a destructive & debilitating emotion to enact out & has many times lead to people killing because of this emotion.
