Organ Donation - Should those who wreck their bodies be given a second chance?

Wow, I don't know how I feel about this one. Ten years into recovery I find out I have a disease that requires a transplant. Does my seven years in addiction negate the ten years of recovery? I don't know if I would want the transplant if I knew that my accepting would stop a child's life from being saved. But, at the same time - me declining it would take a mother from three little boys. I don't know, this one requires some thought.

Wow, this is a post that I did in April 2012, so I almost forgot it was here too as no-one responded at the time here apart from on my blog.
This truly is a tough dilemma you have said, and I can't really give you an answer. It is something that only you can decide but at least you are thinking about it.
