Our World Today

Maribel says 436 days ago

Many of us now are worried about the happenings in our world today. We faced many problems in life. The earthquake that happened in Japan. Many were dead, homeless and injured. Is our world about to end? What shall we do then?...I know one answer that would help us, it is to trust our God...We will just trust him and pray for HIM.. He will take care of the rest...

All we can do is worry and try to give best of us. Preventing bad things we can and not harming others.

Someone some place said, "Plan your life as though you still have 50 years more to live; live it as though today were your last day on earth."

I'm sure many of those that died in Japan's disaster(s) trusted 'God', and I'm sure many of the relatives and friends of those that died trusted 'God'.

If the dead could still think I'm sure "Why the fuck was I sitting there praying when I could have been on the next plane out of here?" would be on their minds.

Their relatives, on the other hand, have learnt a valuable lesson. Rather than sitting around within the region of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant praying for the area to not erupt to radioactive levels, they have buck their ideas up. "Ah, nice try God, but you can't fool me this time!" I think the relatives of the dead in Japan have EVERY justifiable reason NOT to trust in 'God' after the horrendous disasters they have been burdened with. They are much better off, as always, in trusting in their common sense.

Would you trust someone (who is apparently all-knowing), who didn't let you know that your family were going to be crushed/drowned in a natural disaster? Would you trust someone (who in the minds of some controls and plans everything) who planned and successfully crushed/drowned your family?

I'm pretty sure the last thing people who have suffered as a result of Japan's disasters do not want to hear the words 'trust in God'. If you want to help them, because you are religious and therefore must be a really good person (insert sarcasm here), then actually do something about it... like make a donation? Volunteer with the Red Cross organisation? Give them all of your possessions to make up for what they have lost? (because I'm sure that's what Jesus would have done).

What would you say?
