Paul Ryan's recent interview is an insult to our intellect and shows the classic "I'm the boss" vs. "you Americans are the help so shut up" mentality that the Romney campaign has adopted.
In his "60 minutes" debut with Romney he says that "he turned over "several years" of tax returns to the Romney campaign during his vetting process".
That admission is a death blow for the Romney campaign because that begs the fundamental question , why? Why give several years of your taxes for a job you want? Because the answer is in the very question. Because IT IS A JOB YOU WANT! The same that Romney wants from us. A job.
He goes on to make the mistake of saying "It was a very exhaustive vetting process,". It should be! But Romney is trying to circumvent that "exhaustive vetting process" by telling "us people" as his wife so eloquently put it, that we don't really need it.
So once again, in the spirit of being an elitist who wants to play by different rules for the rich, wealthy and privileged. He feels that it's reasonable to demand something for his own edification and examination. But for us, he's made the decision that what's good for him, we really don't need.
Because how dare us commoners demand he do anything. While he simultaneously demands the very thing we're asking him to do from someone else. A true GOP hypocrite of the highest order.
This is perhaps the most classic example of the kind of poor judgement and poor leadership that we would experience if Romney were to be President and how he would make two very different Americas out of one.
Two standards. One for the Romney types, and a lower one for the rest of us.
Paul Ryan has made our point for us better than we ever could.
They are both a disgrace.
