I recently rebuilt my website and decided to switch from Blogger to WordPress. Looking back now, I sure wish I had started on WordPress in the first place.
For anyone considering Blogger or moving to WordPress, my advice is go to WordPress. It's so much easier to do everything and the SEO is much easier. Moving to WordPress was pretty easy too.
I went with a high end Framework and Theme but you don't have to.

WordPress may have changed in the last couple of years, but I considered sertting up a WordPress blog a couple of years ago, and I didn't find that it was "so much easier to do everything". In fact, I found it so difficult that I gave up.
I took a look at blogspot as a host and several different blog software packages, such as Movable Type, when I first started out and have never regretted starting with and sticking to WordPress. It may appear difficult to begin with, but it has so much more to offer than any other software, and it doesn't take all that long to get in and work effectively.
