I know these communities are partly for self promotion, which is great. But it gets a bit boring sometimes.

David Risley - I like his 65 lessons post. He seems very real and it's not the usual repetitive information you hear on how to build a blog
Brunei Resources - It must be nice having a local blog. I don't know of one in my area.
Tiger Lim - I like how this blog is a lot about food. I love food and cooking and it's nice to see traditional food from another country

Imagine how much you'd like others to feel about your blog. Imagine how much they'd look forward to reading it.
Now, have you found many blogs that you feel this way about?
I've found very very few. Are blogs like 'baby pictures'? They're not nearly as interesting to anyone but the mothers and fathers of the baby? Scary thought. (Sorry, didn't mean to be a bummer).
Do people get excited over blogs? I've never really experienced that. But I think we all read blogs for different reasons. I don't like text heavy blogs as I read so much anyway, so I like blogs with lots of images and artwork. which reflects in my blog too. Other people like different things. Which is why I thought it would be interesting for people to share their favourite blogs, and hopefully someone can discover another one they like through it :-)
One of my favorite blogs is fancytreehouse! it's a fashion blog, but also a sweet, romantic, honest, personal-journey life-style blog. I also follow www.mystyleforecast.com, a fashion blog through video posts, mostly.
