Yes. :) At first I was sad that Tobey Maguire was replaced, but I instantly fell in love with Andrew Garfield upon watching the film. Besides, the Spider-Man in the comics is not really the timid type like the one portrayed by Tobey. Andrew is definitely more like it. :)
Tobey was a GREAT Spiderman, but he couldn't capture the pain of being the superhero like Andrew can. Spidey 3 was the prime example, Venom was a turning point in the comics, a darker feeling, bringing out the pain, and the isolation, and the movie didn't capture it. But it just seems that Andrew's Spidey could have captured it better, but whether that was because of the writing, directing, or simply the acting is very very very debatable.
We just watch the amazing spider man yesterday. And both my wife and I like Andrew Garfield portraying peter parker than tobey maguire. But I'm not saying that tobey is no good for spider man, it's just that we we're more captured by andrew.
I vote for both. Tobey was great as Spiderman but he didn't capture the feel or personality as Peter Parker. Andrew fits the personality for both Spiderman and Peter Parker but his looks doesn't match. Skinnier compared to the comics/cartoons and to Tobey.
