Great idea!..I will recommend the following
Images inserted.
Add more colour to your blog
Use Dynamic templates from blogger
Got to your dashboard and Change Design ( layout)
To change to dynamic view.. go to templates and see live update of your blog.
Keep upgrading and change your design so peope do not get bored with your blog.
Finally, a lot of networking online and uses social network to get people to know your blog

Hey first of all you must post more articles.
Don't go for Dynamic views as it won't give a professional look to your blog. Just Google templates, choose you favorite and upload it to your blog.
For customization, there would be a text file while you download.Read that.
You can go for a HTML course to have a brighter blog in Blogspot. Because HTML is the programming language in blogger.

Yeah, you better change template and add important widgets like popular posts, recent and try to follow the basic of designing. Include navigation, pages like about, contact and so on.
