I have recently figured out how to get alot more traffic to my blog for free.
I wish i had found this out years ago !
All you have to do is sign up for http://www.squidoo.com/lensmaster/referral/dandan594
Then build as many one page sites as you want on any subject and because these site have a high page rank they do very well in Google and therefore gain good natural traffic.
All you have to do is include a link to your website or blog to get some of that free traffic.
Tim, could you please suggest some? URL submission to sites like stumbleupon, delicious is quite a manual process. Can you refer to some interesting & automated ways of boosting traffic to our blogs?
Another good way is to submit URLs to your articles to the public bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us, Stumbleupon, Blogmarks, Digg, etc.
I noticed a whopping 10 times jump in a single hour of submitting URLs to Stumbleupon on a particular day. Also, it's a great networking & a bookmarking site too.
Yes there are better ways, I thought I would start out with a simple version for newbies.
You should join squidoo and hubpages and build as many one off site as you can, remember to add a link to your site and use different anchor txt each time. Also add your blogs RSS feed at the bottom of each. There are also other sites like xomba and infobarrel.
Next join Ping.fm and sign up for all of the sites available and start to build a following on each.
Now link Ping.fm, Facebook, Twitter and your RSS feed to Hootsuite.com and get the browser add on.
Now every time you make a new post your can send it to a lot of sites with one click for backlinks and traffic.
I would also join onlywire.com and again sign up for all sites they can post too. Download the onlywire submitter and use for each post you make. This is another great way to generate backlinks and traffic.
I have another great system to get 100% auto original content and gaining backlinks from actual websites not directories free.

Don't go for build links blindly and avoid the auto-submission websites. They will give you backlinks but most of them will be from low-reputable directories. Always build links from niche-related websites, and the links should be do-follow. Forum posting, guest blogging and blogging commenting is the best. These means are safe. By building a bulk of un-natural links, you are going to invite Google's update, which may kick your entire site out of the search results...
Ok I told you what is good way. Try to use Traffic Exchange sites that has more visitors. I prefer the new websites, because your website it will show up on the first page. Why you don't use traffic exchange sites?. Is more powerful tools that help you to increase your views. Let people see what you got. Thanks Dandan for the info! Might give it a try:) I have send submissions to apply my new blog to some directories but it will take them ages ,considering the amount of applications they get every day;/ Ahhh getting followers is not as easy as i thought it would be !
