the simplest way is just to write the natural topics which we come across daily life can bring your blog successful but i write yblog not for popularity but to share my views!!
Oh I agree and I try to write about things that I have been thru and hopefully well help others to not have to go thru the things that I have been thru.
Promote your blog on major websites, like google, yahoo, msn, aol, etc. Registers on other websites you can interact with other bloggers like what we are doing. Writte something or post something that are of relevance to your readers.
Join a couple of social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Build up your networks of possibly interested readers, and then start promoting your blog via tweets and status updates.
Join forums and discussions in this way other bloggers will notice you. Never solicit a vote or tell other bloggers to visit your blog or click your blog. In this way your blogger friends don’t feel obligated to return the favour to you. Give them the freedom of choice. If they visit your blog, fine. If not move along an visit other blogs.
Like footprints in the snow or upon the sand I stomp them in there and try to leave a trail to be followed. I belong to several of the top sites and try to spend time with each of them every week, as well as created new writes and poems while trying to promote my web site. Where most of my income streams are base and originate from. Kind of like a wheel or a circle. all the paths I create lead back Home to my Web site sooner or later. Now I got to get some interesting stuff on it, to keep people coming back.
Nice information....
i often try to share the information which is unique...niche is utmost important thing....one should consider the niche to promote the blog...contents are important to..
content I guess is the most important thing... and the way you write it... people will be really interested in you if you join some discussion sites...
First, come up with a title to your blog post that is viral-capable, catchy, and most importantly reflective of what your post is all about.
You then write awesome content about your said topic, making sure that it's free of grammar and spelling errors and it's easy to read. We all know how impatient online readers can be, so keep it short and simple.
Next, promote the blog post to all of your best social networks and favorite blogs. Don't spam your post to others who don't know you and never heard of you. Instead share it with your friends and people who are actually interested in what you have to say. If they like it, they'll promote it to their networks, and their own networks, so on and so forth.
Did I miss anything? :) I like Harneet's idea of guest posting. That helps build your brand too.
I think whatever your niche is will attract people no matter what it looks like. But a good looking blog always helps. If you want help getting traffic to you blog check out:

It's great place to post your blog for others to see.
One rule they stressed in Defense Information School back in my junior journalism days is using a question is often considered "Backing Into A Lead" to get your reader to read a story.
The other advice they stressed is be careful how you word your question. Keep in mind some readers are natural "wise guys," so if you ask, for example, ":What is the most critical issue facing America today ?" A wise guy would mentally reply - Moron writers. The point is be careful to craft the question to get the reader into the story rather than tossing the paper or clicking on to another website.
I am fairly new but two things seem to be niche and the content delivered. Know what you are delivering and who you are delivering it too...it does no good to make the best pork sausage in the world if you are trying to deliver it to an Orthodox Jewish community.
My main goal with my blog is to give info and share what I learned and know. The simplest way for me to promote is to participate to any discussion that you like and visit other blogs as well. I never ask a favor to any bloggers to visit my blog in return if I visited them. I visit their blog because I like it. I will be thankful if they will visit and leave a comment, if not its fine too.
Here's a blogging tips that can help increase traffic to your blog site. When you post useful information on your blog, include add me, share this, or retweet buttons. These handy functions will allow your readers to pass your information along.
I have a Word Press. Com blog and I haven't found any widgets that allow me to add those functions to my posts. Is there a site where you can find those compatible buttons to add to your posts other than sending each post to numerous sites.
Comment on others blogs, but don't just comment for the sake of it to get you known. I am full believer of what you give out, you get back. So generally be interested in other people's work. Just think, how long, how much patience and dedication it takes to keep a blog. Other bloggers deserve your time too. :)
I find writing my blog gives me something to take my mind of the bad things that have happened and gives me a focus just so much to learn about blogs and blogging
You don't have any idea for unlimited traffic...if you had then you never try to register on bloggers.com and comments here..by the way i try it www.hack2star.tk
Back in my Uncle Sam days - bosses always had "story ideas" to send me out on.
In retirement, I still write. But, the ideas are more versatile. The old "war stories" of childhood and military experiences end up on the page.
Uncle Sam taught me to "Write For My Readers" - Know Your Audience.
Today, I write to please the Muses In My Mind, plus to promote my wife's jewelry website.
Usually though something stirs the Muses In My Mind and then, it's two-bit-hack reporter time.
I try to use photos - often- to seduce the eyes into the story. Sometimes shooting photos gives me a story idea. Other times, the story idea gives me ideas to shoot the photos to support the story. I try to generate most of my own photos most of the time.
Short is probably best - but, I like to talk and my fingers apparently like to toe-tap the keyboard.
The main key is to write. We all know more than we think we know. The other evening in doing some research I stumbled on to a local site that used one of my history stories. Basically, they lifted the complete story with the photo.
I like to hear comments from readers.
Basically, though it comes down to a writer writes. I write.
Actually there no such thing as a dofollow. Bloggers.com uses it but search engines most certainly ignore it. Google invented rel="nofollow" and that respected! I actually wrote a lens about it: http://www.squidoo.com/bloggers-com
dofollow/nofollow links tell the spiders wether or not to follow the link to the internal/extermal page on a site. dofollow links show that the site likes/vouches for that site/page they link to more so than nofollow. How much anyone outside the engines knows, but it seems they are all considered just weighted accordingly.
I believe that blogging will be my new obsession as I move forward with writing my new book. I enjoy meeting new people and want to garter support for my first book. Thanks for all the tips on blogging. :)
Keep posting Continously with Good content and Quality. Submit your blog to Search engines to index your posts. And go for Social networking sites add your blog url and leave comments on others blog posts.
Share and talk of things that interest you so that others interested with same things will follow, can relate to what you share, and understand it too. When they follow/visit some where of interest they will also comment and share with you, and everyone. Sometimes if you see something of interest being discusses that many others would like to know about...postal increases, postal closings, photo editing places, and just different things....it helps.
with so many bloggers world wide , i think almost all topics (important ones ) are well covered. So you really have to choose a very good and informative topic and just stick to it.Choose a topic you know best, and like ARS kumar said spread through your social network friends.
Updating blog regularly ...attractive design...less gadgets..so that it would load fast....commenting on friends blog... submitting your blog on directories and search engine and many more.
my initial intention to putting up a blog is to have an online journal. in a few months it would be a year since i started to blog. i guess to increase the traffic is to get involve in the same niche you are in. join community blogs and forums and give sensible comments or replies.
Twitter, facebook and other social networking sites are good. Some readers love giveways. but first, you have to create a relationship with you readers. Leave comment on their blog and they're will come back.
