Do people use blogging site for virtual publicity and fame or just to quench the thirst of writing and getting a meaniful appreciation as well as evaluation????
Well it depends on different kinds of people....some people hav so many things to express but cant able to do dat...so they jus give it a try....if it gets liked then its make them feel tht they hav something in them...at the same time it will encourage them....
by the way i dun think by bloggin people gets virtual fame...coz here everyone is new to each other.....every body is stranger to each other...and thts helps us to share our thing which we use to hide coz we fear tht if someone knows it and dun understand then it might hurt....but here we dun know each other so its gud to share...cuz here we dun fear whether someone like wht we say or not...we jus try to share wht we want...:)...
Publicity is everywhere and who does publicity does that in every inch space they get. Look at talk shows in TV, or even a friend who is a marketeer came to you house. They will do soft sale if not hard sale.
I have same question in my mind. Blogs are now a days a great place for marketing. But not all blogs are same, so are the bloggers. Some blogs are really from heart. Some bloggers spend huge time to express their idea.
Now Its debatable if majority bloggers are self promoters or they are solely for that but I still believe thousands and thousands people use this media for sharing knowledge.
..blogging is an outlet of our sentiments..
not for impressing but expressing thoughts that often times need answers--
..d xchanging of thots wd diff topics s healthy for us..
..ONLY PATHETIC PEOPLE USE IT FOR FAME..
How my site is setup is so that the people who choose to blog for fame may tryout to blog for my site. As the webmaster I provide the system and the people they talk about tech and media and gain fame from the community. No I have to disagree with your statement about its only for pathetic people if you have a website 98% of the time its for fame. Fame is the amount of people like you or follow your work/topic. The 2% are trying to develop new technology or are just getting into the website world stage. So if your just making websites just to lisen to yourself your the 2% if your the 98% who want to be knowed then good for you. So witch are you?
wel yes,i made a mistake n dat statement..4 marketers, ds site is of help for gettin known..if you had read my above statement wel, i sed xchanging thots is healthy for us..d "XCHANGIN of thots" is not listning 2 one's OWN self..and getting comments n ds site s not at ol for fame--coz in my case, i nvted ppol 2 my site f dey hav sum views 2 contribute, merely 4 gettin opinions and not 4 FAME.. and i do vote sum coz dey really deserv 2 b voted (for their gr8 sites)..d very reason i did d same 4 u..not to make u famous,-but juz i ws amazed by ur blog..
MARKETERS on this site r EXCEPTIONs 2 my 1st caps statement..sori 4 misleading..
well I would like to say that i think when ppl like ur view n vote ur thoughts its appreciation rather than fame.......i do agree the xchange of thought think.... Though it is being misused by many....blogging is the best platform for xchanging thought, learnig and grooming yourself as well as making voice of unheard being heard....somethings that can help to bring changes that previously would hab been impossible...
m glad u get my point chetansil..but i do apologize 4 sum ppol hu's mislead by my caps statement..juz wnt 2 make it clear that i do appreciate promoters on this site, and m pretty sure dt their main objective on their sites is NOT for FAME but for SHARING OF KNOWLEDGE that surely of great help to oder bloggers here..
I don't really know what other people think about that, but for me, it is a world which is separate from the world I am living in, which I am free to exoress and still feel secure!
I blog because I talk to much. I like like talking about myself and everyone good and bad and I also like to talk about serious things and get people's opinion about different things. I also like to post help questions on blogs because I think that it is great to get answers from real people instead of advertising. I want to know what people like and think. Like my blog is about my life and what goes on in it. I like it because I feel that I can just tell my story and if you want to comment fine if not that is fine, too. So maybe some like the virtual fame but me, I love to talk and I like learning new things and things like that. I enjoy blogging for knowledge, friendship, and chatting. :)
I agree I like to talk a lot so my family thinks but, what is wrong with having an opinion & learning from other peoples perspective. Yes it is a whole lot cheaper to tell someone about what you do in business than pay advertisers plus that is called "Word Of Mouth" marketing!!
I think it depends on why you are blogging. I think life bloggers are writers who not only enjoy telling their stories, but they like the friendships that blogging brings. Seriously, I bet I know some of my "bloggy buddies" who I've never met, better than I know some of my real life friends. That's totally different than niche or topic bloggers who are only writing articles about a subject. I think the niche bloggers are more fame seeking than the personal bloggers.
It's really depends- personal or even niche bloggers may not after the fame at all. Once you expert on something you need some way to express what you feel about it- even you want to pass your experiences to the next generation.
Blogging may let's you be completely anonymous but internet no longer a 'virtual world' only.
There is many words to say. Blogging, What does it mean? question yourself, What your heart & soul say, try to hear it first. Then do your jod with blogging as to your need.
I think purposefully striving for publicity and fame makes it more difficult to achieve, and those who have motives like that find it more difficult than they originally thought.
Most "famous" bloggers will agree they didn't know things would happen that way, or at least didn't plan on it. With good character, good content, and a clear path for doing what's right, fame (or really just a public following) will occur in due time.
Personally I feel like getting to know as many people as possible couldn't hurt, but only broaden my perspective on the world and other people in general. So I'm looking to grow my blog and meet people to follow and who can follow me.
to an extent yeah, that that alone doesn't define the purpose of blogging. Small business and enterprises have seen so much growth with blogging, it has also been used as a great medium for the public voice

but there are few who just want to express:)
