VALUABLE'S AT GARAGE SALES

Teddy on Life, Blog, Happy, Fun, Family, Buisness

Just one of my finds.
One Saturday I was at a garage sale and I saw a pair of spurs on the table, so I picked them up and took them over and asked the price. $5.00 is what the lady said. I bought them and took them home and done some checking. They were Oscar Crockett spurs from around the 1880's----1910 aprx. Silver overlaid with snake design. I sold them for $7500.00. The best Saturday I've had in a long time. Do you garage sale?

Wow, what a find. If you are someone who has the expertise in certain types of items such as paintings, glass, vases etc, garage sales, car-boot sales are excellent places to pick up a good bargain.

Hi,
No, I would say that I am an expert, but I have found some very nice things but none as valuable as the one I wrote about. Have you found some interesting things ?

I do like weird looking objects which are usually made of wood or glass. It's nice to have a home that doesn't always look like someone else's.
Nowadays it's hard to get hold of unusual things like before, not sure why though. I also enjoy abstract artwork, things that look crazy and off the wall, so to speak.

How cool, and me to.
Let's keep on looking , one never knows.
I also go to storage auctions, only now after they put the show on, it is extremely hard to pick things up as cheap as before. But NEVER GIVE UP right?
