I work full time and sometimes get overwhelmed by my blogging responsibilities. That said, it's an outlet for my personal creativity and i enjoy doing it. I do, however, feel as if its difficult to get the audience that I'm looking for and get them to come back. Do you guys have any tips? Giveaway techniques, Natural SEO, etc.?
I'm no expert but firstly it's about quality content, and then you have to make sure that you promote what you are doing to other bloggers, so people know who you are and where to find you. Check out bloggers in your niche and out of your niche who may be interested in what you have to say.
It takes time to build readers.
You could create a list of bookmarks of other blogs and keep commenting and befriending them on their site. Commenting with your backlink will direct incoming traffic from their blogs to yours. So basically, your attracting the same audience as the other blogs to yours and chances are, they might bookmark your blog too.
hmm... be unique with good content is what I think helps keep a reader...
you don't want to be a replica on other blogs as then the readers will just look and judge you with better and popular blogs... and then the best one is to pop onto other forums and chat and make some nice friends 8) You tend to find they are the ones who truely check out your blog 8)
