Hello all. Some of you bloggers here can be proud of getting a lot of visitors to their blog. Let me hear your secret. What did you do to get all those visitors.
You can take a look at my blog at give me your advice: www.bookaview.com
I forgot to answer your question? I get most of my traffic on google, bing ask.com I use the social site to get my post out there I don't get tones of traffic yet but the more post you write with different interest and topic the more of an audience you will get.
My personal goal is not to get traffic but to gain interested readers. Traffic is useless if they come to your post and bounce right off.
Get targeted audience by connecting with other blogs that is similar to yours. I'll set you our case as example. Initially, we added, read and commented on other blogs besides our interest. It initially worked, but there was a 'saturation point ' for this. Thus, now we're more affiliated with groups of people who have the same interests us ours. In our twitter account, most are travel bloggers. We try to read and RT their posts and they do they same with ours. We also joined two travel forums where we were allowed to posts our entries. It brings more people to our site as well. After three months, were getting more traffic than we use to do. Aside from this, two travel online magazines have also contacted us to be contributors to their site with pay. We were frantic when we received these. We reckon, that you have to give more attention to your posts. They should be quality posts. And everything we'll just come in time. Just be patient.
Hey Ashok.. You got some nice stuff there. I Liked the space saving desk and the drawers with the stairs.
one thing i didn't like is the "follow me on tweeter" bird that fly all over the screen. It's nice at first but then it becomes annoying, in my opinion at least.
Personally, I've had a LOT of luck with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Basically, when I had an idea of something to write about, I would use Google's Adword Keyword Tool, which is basically a way to Google what people are Googling lol. That basically showed me the search terms people use, and how many people use them. So for instance, I wrote an article about my experience with a hallucinogenic drug called DMT. I put 'DMT' into the Keyword Tool and it showed me that a large number of people search "DMT Experience." So that's what I made the title of the article, and I tried to work it in as much as possible. A few months after writing it, my article was the fifth link that comes up on Google when people search "DMT Experience," which gets me roughly 50 hits per day!
Hey Kaliway. That is a good idea . I have 2 thoughts about it:
1. for many blogs this idea is not applicable because the competition for keywords at the blog's "area" is intense. For example, travel blogs will find it hard to compete for keywords. Try to google anything related with travel and see how intesne is the competition. I'm not syaing it's impossible but it will be difficult.
2. If you want high rank in google you must host your blog at sites like Blogger. I host my site at a domain i bought and my chances of being at a good spot on Google are low.
