So what do you do when the whole world seems to turn against you? What do you do when you are upset for no reason at all?
So what do you do when the whole world seems to turn against you? What do you do when you are upset for no reason at all?
There are many things to do that depend on the person in question and the situation, but the most important thing is to remember that it's only a rough patch and just brave through it. Before you know it it will be behind you - unless you let it consume you.
Surely there is no one answer for this, but my choice is:
I'd go to the mind-attic, look for the Granny's old trunk and select the best grin I can find and don it.
After that I go out to the world to follow the life-track towards the future, since there is no other way to follow.
If you are blessed by loving hands around you, the trail is easier, if you are not, just keep going, even if sometimes it is difficult to find it, the world's strength dwells in your heart.
"even if sometimes it is difficult to find it, the world's strength dwells in your heart"
how beautifully expressed, totally inspired and motivated :)
Try hard to get up and encourage myself that there's enough strength in me to deal with the issue and go forward.
convert feelings to a painting or a song... being upset for no reason is REALLY hard... i mean, of course there's a reason... and the reason is not knowing the reason (maybe because of too much reasons)
Drink is the first thing that comes to mind, then blog with a massive hangover the following morning... I really should do that the other way around
Listen to music, sulk a bit. Cry it out. Eat. Roll around. Break down. and then I'm back up again :)
There's only one way to go - straight back up. Please see my posts on my expereience with depression - maybe they'll inspire you a little :) The fourth part will be up on Monday - but I have parts 1 - 3 written already. Thanks :) Chin up chica
Hey BB,
i checked ur blog, but couldn't find the post u mentioned. share the link pls :)
get up and move around it, climb it up, crawl do whatever I can but shall not just sit and watch.
what do you do when you HIT ROCK BOTTOM?
just stay at the bottom for a while....until it bores you down like crazy and you realised how bad you really want to get out and
that you wouldnt want to be there ever again....
When I hit rock botton, I write about it. Sometimes it makes a really good song or a good journal entry. Sometimes it takes several attempts to capture it all - but eventually I get it and then I've made something good out of something bad, and that's enough to move me along.
The closest I get to rock bottom is generally when I'm a drunken moron and confuse "please don't climb on that bull" with "you are ugly" causing me sit on the floor and cry....(I am aware I'm pretty mental)....how I get back to normal is a friend just needs to tell me to basically "stop being a twat" and then all is good
I'm pretty childlike in all honesty
A good cry. Thereafter, make a decision whether to choose the same path and pray for it to change or change the path. You know what they say:
When a door closes, another opens up.
Most of the time, we have infinity choices, but are being limited by resources. That's the mind grinding part.... grrrr!!!
Sorry chick, I just saw this - if you're still interested, here are the links. The first is to the first of the series - the links for the rest of the series are in the post. The second is for one I wrote a bit later that I should add to the series but have just been lazy :P

I watch reality shows and realize that my life is awesome! Hopefully that will make someone smile.
The great Dorothy L. Sayers recommended hard work, exercise and the sudden acquisition of wealth.
The one good thing about rock bottom is that there's only one direction in which you can move: up!
At my blog Paws for Thought I'm writing a series on a journey to hell and back, and I invite you along. Several of you have already indicated that you liked the first installment and I'm grateful. The second installment, Dear God, what was that? is up now. (I would give you the link, but I'm not sure about that 'shameless link dropping admonition, so you'll just have to use a couple of extra clicks :)
