What do "You" get out of blogging?

Stylegoddessblog on Life, Blogging, Bloggers

hi. my name is shawn and i have been blogging for about a year now. And this is a question i began to ask myself. i know why i blog but what am i getting out of it for me?

the reason i blog is because i wanted a site i could go to for style inspiration. i didn't see it on the net so i created it.

it's been a while and now i ask myself what am i getting out of it.

i guess because of blogging i have developed better organization skills. i have become more focused and know i can start something and stick to it. i have also discovered my true passion through blogging and began to take the steps to pursue it(and surprisingly, it wasn't fashion). what about you?

what have you gained from blogging?

:)

When I started out I wanted to blog because I was told that it was a way to make money. well,,,,, so far that hasn't happened but I have gotten fond of talking with people all over the world and even though we don't agree on some things, they and I have good intentions and that is a plus for all of us.so now it's for fun and learning.

I'd love money but, I don't get that. I blog because I love to write and want to share what I create. I have always loved entertaining so that is what I get from blogging.

I started blogging because I wanted to have a little place on the internet where I could share the things that I like and enjoy with others. Also, because I enjoy reading other blogs and they make it all look so fun. I haven't been blogging very long. What I hope to get out of it is personal growth. I want to express myself and my feelings without fear of what other people will think about it. I feel like I can utilize blogging as a way to overcome those insecurities and become a more confident person by sharing my feelings and getting to socialize with other people (and realizing that I'm not the only one that feels/thinks a certain way). Socializing is big for me, because I'm not that much of a social butterfly. So it's a real effort for me to voice my thoughts/opinions when I normal wouldn't.

It is a creative outlet for me. I get to improve my English which is still horrible and I get to share all the stuff I buy.
I admit I get stuff to review but that is not the main reason why I blog, sure it is nice that people send me stuff to review but I also put a lot of my own money into my blog.

I always thought that I should have been a writer, but I always seemed to have other things to do that were more important and took up all my time (or perhaps I was just too idle). However, since I started my blog three years ago, I've written a lot of stuff that I'm extremely proud of and that would never have been written if I didn't have a blog.

Basically, I really didn't have any interest at writing at all, I consider my self as more of a reader than a writer and I prefer talking on the spot than jotting down my thoughts. Well, I got my new laptop and the bloggers site was saved on the browser. I checked it out, made an account and really didn't knew what I was doing, then i noticed it's a social network for bloggers (I feel like an idiot not thinking that in the first place haha) anyway, I decided to make my blog, and then I took it from there. I blog because it seems nice to connect with other people and see others to appreciate what you do. :)

i agree, bloggermeister. it is nice to connect with other people and see others appreciate what you do. the connecting with other people is a unexpected bonus to blogging. i have met and connected with some great persons that came by way of blogging.

The reason I Blog is to express my thoughts and feeling and as an outlet for my emotions.

Blogging to me is my grown up, 21st century way of keeping a diary. I don't think of myself as a good talker or great conversationalist. I'd rather listen than speak. But writing is another matter. Blogging is a place where I can record my thoughts; tamed and constructed in a manner that's suitable for the world to read and digest, but still very much my thoughts (expletives most of the time excluded!).

I blog because it gives me a personal sense of accomplishment and a sense of self. I'm a stay at home mom and homemaker, and I have 2 cats and a dog. and while taking care of my family is fulfilling, it's just so easy for me to lose myself in everyone's wants and needs and forget about my own.
But my blog is my space to do what I enjoy and share it with others. To have people outside my home see me and appreciate me for things outside of homemaking is so refreshing and needed, I can't put into words the satisfaction it gives me.

I wanted to blog because I want to share something on my mind that I know will be helpful to others.

I write because the feeling I get when writing and sharing is immensely great, almost relieving if you know what I mean. Keep blogging ;)

I always ask myself why keep blogging. I don't know why, I started to blog because I was part of a group of people who are trying to raise awareness about one subject.
I started the second because I felt like talking about other things.
It was in 2009.
I keep doing it without knowing why. Sometimes I like one post but the vast majority i wish I had done it better.

Because of blogging, my writing abilities and capacity to write bigger paragraphs have been improving. Also, my creativity is always being tested because of the theme I've chosen; I believe this has been positively stimulating the right hemisphere of my brain, since I'm dominant on the opposite. It might seem strange, but I think it's an awesome way to create a "balance" within it. :p

AnaLuiza ∙ 12 weeks ago

No. It's a great thing you're doing.
I'm not sure about he right/left theory. Anyway,,,
I would like to learn to play an instrument because it deals with part of our brains only music can.
When someone with Alzheimer disease plays an instrument s/he can forget their family members names but they play the instrument.
The musical memory is the last to go away.

BLOGGING!! I never seriously thought about it before I wrote my first post. What I got from it are:
1. Satisfaction
2. freedom- of saying the things I want and easily to agree or disagree
3. peace- when I read comments on my questions and, happiness when I read somebody's blog
4. blogger friends who are so supportive. :)

Hi,
Well everyone has their own opinion and mind about it as we are all different, I can recognize myself in most of the post but to me, I think I begin to do it because I wanted people to discover my world, my music, my drawing and maybe who knows someone who will enjoys the same will get to know me.

It was a hobby at first but I quite enjoy doing it now and this is the most important part of it.
