Some would say making enough money to be able to blog full-time, but for me success is being able to keep a blog going for three years (to date). I've written stuff that would never have been written had I not started a blog.

I don't really know, but I think factors like revenue, readers, subscribers should be considered. If you got that all, I guess you can be considered as a successful blogger. Being one of the top blogger on your field, I guess.

I guess what makes you or someone a successful blogger is the fact that you write about things you like and people follow your blog, share thir oppinions and ask about this or that, wanting to hear yourr oppinion. Many persons write or create blogs in a way of getting money from them. But, many persons truly dont like that, cause its more of the same...So many people already doing that!
If you want to be a truly successful blogger you really have to be yourself and work a lot, treat your blog very well, respect your followers, be nice to them, and avoid lost your track, cause its simple to turn a very nice personal blog into a commercial thing...but with time you might regret that.

People attracted by your blog postings and visiting your blog to read your articles. The blogger who creates such a situation can be considered as a successful blogger.

I don't think there is a definitive answer to this because it really depend on what your initial aim was, when creating the blog.
If you wanted to create a blog to make money, then obvious a mark of success is to make as much money as possible. Making any money at all is an achievement in itself.
Some people blog in the same way as writing a journal. Where who reads it, doesn't matter. It's just an outlet. So success for this type of blogger would be whether or not it makes a difference to them. Whether writing down everything, actually makes them feel better about the situation. Things like that.
Then you have the regular bloggers, and the business bloggers. Where you want people to see your work or writing and a mark of success there is the amount of readers/subscribers/likes/shares. You basically want your blog out there for people to enjoy. If people are responding with comments and shares, that's the best bit. Not only are they following, but they are reading. Numbers don't matter if they never look at your blog again. So that for me is the success I look for.

If you really contribute something useful / interesting /entertaining and large information to the internet and you get price of that in the form of friends, followers, subscribers,community,money and if you enjoy all this , you are successful blogger according to me.

It depends on specific goals. If you are in it for revenue and attain ads and income from your blog then you are successful.
If you are in it for the creative and fun aspect of it, have followers, while making friends and networking with other bloggers then you are successful.

Its different for everyone like you may look at it and think.. wow they are success full from the moment of followers etc...
but if you look carefully the main aim in being a successful blogger isn't making money (would be good though) but getting your blog noticed by others because if others don't notice it... who is going to help spread news of your blog to others so that you have a big audience?

Every blogger has his goal, some want a lot of views, some wish to get across their views and others for leisure! So its upto that person!

For me a successful blogger is someone who can keep on writing, keep on coming up with new subjects and posts, keeps on gaining pleasure from blogging and also has a few comments coming in, regular readers and so on. The Google and Alexa rankings are minor against these, but helpful for a blogger to find more readers and gain a little bit more success. It depends, though, on what you mean by success; personal or popularity. I'm fortunate enough to have both.
