What is the hardest thing about blogging to you?

PixeledMe on Blogging, Bloggers, Obstacles

Whenever I start a brand new blog, the hardest challenge for me is to stay self motivated and encouraged, because it can be a struggle to write when you are receiving very little traffic at the beginning.

The second hardest part about blogging that I find once I achieve my goal of attracting a large enough audience is the ability to sustain my visitors while still actively trying to increase my daily pageviews, visitors, and alexa ranking. I always strive to write great content and please my readers.

What is the hardest part about blogging for you?

Cool blog by the way :) Yeah, content is a lot of bloggers biggest struggle. What I do, is research several interesting topics in my industry and then review all of them, see which topic I like best and would like to voice my opinion on and then just start writing. A lot of times its just a matter of sitting down and just writing down a list of things that you would like to share your thoughts about to others.

Seeing those ideas on paper, sometimes is all it takes to get your mind thinking :)

For me the hardest thing about blogging is finding enough time to write my posts and comment on the blogs I like. It is really difficult to find some free time when I am supposed to study all day.

How often would you like to update your blog per week? For me I always have my laptop with me so that when I have ideas for a new post I just take out my laptop and start typing. Most of the time I write in a coffee shop or a cafe.

I would like to update it twice a week, actually I think that's enough for the content I write about. Right now I am writing a post once a week but even that is very hard for me because I have so little time.

For me the hardest part is actually making the images for my story blog, since it takes time to make and at the same time it takes forever to turn out as I want it so normally half way through the week I'm ripping my hair out from stress haha XD

Cool blog :) My brother is an artist, so I see what he goes through when creating something new. What software do you use to create your story blog posts?

For me it's generally finding ideas about what to write, and sometimes just finding time to do it as well.
Before my *ahem* extended hiatus, part of the reason I didn't blog much was because nobody ever seemed to look at my blog, so I just started thinking "Oh, what's the point".
I don't like to repeat myself, either, so if I post something on a Facebook page I might not put it on my blog, even though the miniscule to nonexistent readership of my blog is unlikely to have been looking at the Facebook page :P

When I first started blogging, I did what many call "over sharing" and even though it boosted my traffic quite a bit, I found myself getting removed from forums, Facebook pages, Twitter etc. This was about 2 years ago, so a lot has changed and I have learned how to properly promote, and share without "Over Sharing".

Once I figured out what it was that I really enjoy writing about, I found that my writing became a lot better, I began wanting to start my day writing a brand new post, and most importantly because it was something I enjoyed writing about, and my writing became a lot better people just started reading, and sharing my posts.

One of the ways that I like to start a new blog is to write about things that are trending...also known as "highly searched". My suggestion to you would be to pick 1 topic that you are really knowledgeable on whether that's makeup, or a personal hobby that you might have, and just focus on that. People like going to a blog and knowing what they can anticipate reading the next day. This will create a following :)

For instance, if it is makeup that you feel is the thing that you know the most about, post about makeup that you recommend, newly released makeup, or what really will give you traffic is by posting makeup tutorial videos on Youtube and sharing a link in your video description to your website :)
