What is Your True Passion?

MattTheRose says 108 days ago

Civilized life has no shortage of demands to be placed on us:

make more money,
get a better job,
get married,
have children,
be the best.....

But, at the end of the day happiness is a choice—not an order to be filled. The pursuit of passion is the only true path to happiness.

My true passions are writing and music.

So let's hear it people....

Writing is a true passion of mine and makes me feel alive. I love it when people reach out to me about my blog. I post a lot on post partum depression, which I suffered from after the birth of my daughter. When people comment/FB/Email me to tell me that my story helped them my heart bursts with joy.

In hindsight, getting negative feedback is tough for me. I'm working on that though...not everyone is going to like me or what I have to say. I'm a work in progress!

Congrats on being a featured blogger today!! :D

Absolutely, negative feedback is something to be weathered in the process of refining ourselves. It can difficult at times but it can also spark new insight and new paths we hadn't considered previously. I think blogging about your experience is an important message. I hope others can see that as well.

Onward!

That of "not everyone is going to like..." let us improve things, or, give us space to listen on.

Keep on work in, you're on right track!

think carefully! you can find it! Usually its something that you couldn't imagine living without, that if someone took it away from you, you wouldn't know what to do....

Computing... particularly, writing compilers, although of course I don't have time to do just that. Too bad. 8-)

Playing French Horn, traveling, photography, and showing my emotions and affections. :)))

MattTheRose says 107 days ago

Showing emotion and affection is a great thing. One of the top regrets of dying people is that they wish they expressed their feelings more.

Dustzilla says 107 days ago

too much emotion on men makes them gay :-)

Joshuacintron says 96 days ago

*Dustzilla, I think men don't show enough emotion. If manly emotion is directed to the correct audience than I believe it can be received quite well.

Your topics are thought provoking, stimulates the mind to dwell deeper rather than answer superficially.

Ah, passion, the proverbial question of my life. At times, I feel I am on that path. Unfortunately, something or someone attempts to derail it. Whether it be teaching, writing, or simply being the best person I can be to a hurting world, I tend to lose focus at what's really important, my family.

In that regard my passion is to bring my children up, who are nestled in a woman's womb, in the way God has instilled in their hearts. I desire my children to build their dreams versus the dreams of others. Lastly, when my number is called and I am kneeling before the God of this earth, I want to be confident that the talents he's given me were used for His purpose.

A summation to a long-winded question that I can write a book on. Lol.

God bless,
