What Makes Your Blog Unique From The Others In Your Category?

Hey Y'all

I've been thinking lately about ways I can make my blog stand out more from the others in my market.

I decided to redesign my "About" page and I'm going to insert a video in my sidebar. You know, to personally welcome my guest. It's a risky idea, because people can decide within a couple of seconds if I'm worth listening too or if they like me. But it's a risk I'm willing to take ; )

I'm going to insert some more opt-in forms in different areas on my blog too.

Those are a few things I'm looking at doing.

Now, that leads me too this...

Since I've joined this blog community I have been exposed to all types of people and blogs from different walks of life (which I think is too cool!).

But...

What is it about your blog that stands out from the others in your category or niche?

Is it a special feature? Color Scheme? Content? Personality?

Hi Marc, I don't really know what makes my blog stand out for others but one thing for sure is, my blog is a horrible blog for my visitors. hehe, because sometimes, you just wrote things you learned and people don't want to listen to you because you hurt their ego's/personalities, and I can't help that, because blogging is writing what you really are and who you are. My niche is a Spiritual niche, that's it.

Yes, I couldn't agree more with you more about being transparent when blogging.

People want to know the REAL you! You know?

So if you are speaking about life experiences or something that you learned, then there is someone out in the world who will listen and take heed to your advice.

Since you think you hurt peoples ego's or personalities, do you find yourself thinking about changing the way you blog because of that?

Oh no I wasn't recommending you change the things you write about. Because that is what makes you standout. It makes your blog and content unique.

I was thinking since you say you feel that you hurt peoples ego's, etc that you might have been thinking of changing.

So I was saying that you should continue to be yourself in your writing and the things you decide to share.

Remember, it's not what you say, but how you say it : )

I think that my blog stands out because it's all about what I know and what I learned. It's not about beauty or lifestyle. It's about everyday news, international business... Things that can be relevant to those who are willing to learn.

Hi Marc. I don't think that my blog fits into a "category", because I write about such a wide range of subjects, but if you wanted to discover a side of Hong Kong that you won't read about anywhere else then my blog is the place to go.
