I've found the most effective way to add followers is simply to ask, politely, and follow them if they follow you. I love following GFCs and NetworkedBlogs widgets as it connects me to all sorts of new ideas and personalities! I'm on your GFC now and Pinterest. My Pinterest ID is costaricaenvy, the rest you can find on my profile.

I think a great way to gain followers and new blogs to follow is through blog hops. I'm having trouble finding new followers myself at the moment, I've been waiting to reach my next milestone in what seems like forever even though I'm active and commenting away as ever x
