DIFENITLY FRIENDFEED for me, then bloggerluv ,then twitter but you have to be very active in all of them blogggers is a great traffic source but like the other sites you need to be more active so peple need to know and visit your blog

There you are. I had just poste an answer to Renata, and suddenly Sam Sali shows up with FRIENDFEED; bloggerluv;

God knows what's next to this confusing itrnetted world.

(I still remember cross-lines those days. You would be on the line with someone, and then a third party's conversation comes through clearly for you to listen in, in quiet or all 4 telling each other to put the phone down.

friendfeed.com is asocial bookmarking service. you can also submit you blog feed so every time you post somthing it shows up there. also people get to subscribe to your feed. You can import your contacts from other services, including Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail. Im not sure why it 60% of my traffic comes from it but it nice...

@Jasmine you can add your blog through adding you rss feed.Click on "settings" link in the top right corner then lick "add/edit" next to "Services" choose the one says blog feed..Thats all

one more tip i just tried if you are thinking to promote your blog through a paid add, i recomment faebook ads..they are so effetive more than google adwords the resuts almost immediate.

Google mainly, then twitter and bloggers.com...

Last month most of my page views came from imdb.com since the people on the messageboard for "scott pilgrim vs. the world" were far from happy about my blog entry about how much i hate it... i got anonymous death threats, i was so proud :oD

Most of my traffic is direct. After that it is the search engines, primarily Google. I get other referral traffic from digitpoint.com (since I sometimes have technology oriented blogs), facebook, stumbleupon. The last few days a am getting lots of links from a blog in China that mistakenly linked to me instead of linking to the .net version of my name. :-) It was a PR5 site also. Nice link though undeserved.

This business of getting traffic and visitors to a blog is catchy. I expected forums to be helpful, where you join and contribute ideas and thoughts but inclusion of email/ url/ blog/ web addresses is out. Some sites have free advertising and that helps a little. All replies to this GOOD QUESTION refers to using Google; Twitter; search engines;face book; stumble upon;yahoo; imdb.com;
blog catalog;friedeggs.com etc etc etc
How really effective are the above and how long does that effect lasts. How do we keep it as on going traffic puller?
