I have just started using adsense and after less than two weeks I received an email saying my account has been disabled due to the risk of generating invalid clicks.

It was nothing I did to break the rules. As it turned out I join this community and so I had a number of visitors coming from this site. That was the problem and nothing illegal that I did.

I'm going with Amazon as my affiliate. Good Banners, and widgets, good products, and it's basic. They click through your site and buy something, you get paid.
If you do buy products from Amazon, please click through my site, and buy them. Same price, yet I get a little compensation. I buy stuff from Amazon for myself and family, but can't buy through my own site.
If you get your site set up with Amazon, I'd be willing to trade with anyone on bloggers. Rather than both of us collect nothing when we buy something from Amazon, we might as well pay each other.

Affiliates system gives you much more money as compared to contextual ads but remember that affiliates are very slow for generating money.

dont apply for adsense until you have quality and attractive contents. If u feel that u already have quality content then apply now.

Have you heard of TagClouds? It is a GREAT alternative to AdSense, I would have a look. It might work well for what you want.

TagClouds are affiliate links which work like Adsense and advertise around your content or topics. Directs those who click the ad to the affiliate offer. I think it's an great system, plus you have the potential to make a little more with it over Adsense.
