I have had my blog for a little over 1 month and on average I am getting 75 to 100 uniques each day. How long have you had your blog and what kind of traffic are you seeing daily?
I have another blog that gets a ton of traffic but I started that almost 1 year ago.
I am just wondering what kind of response everyone is seeing.
i have a poetry sort of blog , so dont expect much traffic,,,sometimes i get as good as 140 , sometimes even less than 10 ...lol i dont care much though
I created my blog on Nov 2011 and from last two months average 1200 unique visitors daily as per Google analytic stats, those produces 2200+ page views daily. And growing day by day.

that's good though...considering you don't really care and you're not doing much to market it, I would say that is decent.

Geting trafic is very tough job. I have been bloging since 3 months and i get 80% unique of daily 120 average per day.
I don't know what unique traffic is. lol. I have so much trouble with the blog working it's all I can do to add a new post a couple times a week. I don't know what back links are and if I even have any. I don't sell anything so mostly do it to share my interest with others. I did put up a book thing from Amazon and will do one for audible but its more for convenience of visitors. And they are related to my subject. I get excited if I see more than 10 visitors a day. Which is nothing but it sure makes me happy.

According to Blogger Stats .. I have 1k-1.5k per day as far as page view ..im not sure if it is accurate though .. I have started a month ago ..

hi monique!!! this is normal at 3 months because the site's or blog's age is too young. blogs as it gets old there's always room for improvements. keep on studying and reading. i hit 600 + in 3 weeks. backlinks and proper/correct tags should be used. just believe in yourself and everything will just soar high.

It depend on how much effort you put in to drive traffic for your blog. if you put lots of efforts then you able to get lots of visitors, and if you doing nothing and siting on your sit and waiting for someone to knock the door of your blog then believe me its not going to happen.

I've had my blog up for one month and have had over 1,500 hits total, not daily. But I still think that's pretty darn good. Here's how I did it.
If you want to increase traffic to your blog:
1. register your URL with google, yahoo, bing, dmoz.org directory, wilsdomain.com and any other search engine that is FREE to register with. They will ask you for info, such as what your blog is about. Come up with a one sentence answer that touches as much on your niche topic as possible. The search engine will put your site in their database so that it comes up in a search.
2. Use Google Analytics. Type in keywords to topics that are relevant to your blog. It will give you the most used search words for those keywords. Monitor the search results daily. Write posts about the most used search words- and be sure to write about it in a way that hasn't been touched by other bloggers. Being unique is the key to getting more traffic.
3. Sign up with Facebook and Twitter. Make friends. Post/Tweet whenever you have a new blog entry.
4. Make sure that your blog is easy to read and appealing to the eye. Don't use white letters on black background, for example.
5. Start posting comments on forums or other websites that are about a topic similar to your blog. Place your blog URL at the bottom of the post. After a while, people will start visiting your blog and you may get loyal followers out of it.

You are correct. You know pple are talking about how they are getting tones of traffic everyday and yet they themself are visiting only their site to check out the income. I think if one truely wants traffic you can either pay for it with adwords which is prety good and safe for adsense users. Am using some of your suggestions here. For example i pay 1$ each day on facebook to promote my article and i reach over couple of 1000 pple out there each day. This is prety simple....!

it shouldn't be about marketing, if you have unique content and you blog because you love it you surly will get traffic in time.
2 months i started and have close to 1k unique monthly, but its a passion for me to research and blog. thats the key "passion"!
I started out in the same boat with little views. Now I average 50k a month with around 2k a day. Sometimes I hit 215k a month and 10k -25k a day. Just write good content and it will work. It took me 2.5 years to get 2.5 million views.
I created my tech/game blog three months ago. The first two months I updated occasionally, but now I update with 4 + posts each day. I think for July only I've had close to 10 k views.

My blog's closing in on its one year anniversary. I average between 200 and 500 hits a day, usually more on Friday. I don't get as many hits as some because my blog's an ongoing piece of serial fiction, hence it demands a big chunk of your time. Hey, it took me a while, I started in 2009, then took a break for a while last year but am now back to on average about 2000 per day...more if we have celeb quotes or breaking news. On days we don't post (weekends for example) we see things halved. So I would say post original, relevant content regularly (I aim for every other day, except weekends, sometimes more f I have the time) and keep on top of news and personalities in your sector.
I'm now lucky enough to be in a position to accept guest bloggers too, and hope that once their content starts going live on topof mine, we'll double or even triple. Guest bloggers are good as they will promote to their own networks - and hopefully some of those new people will stick around once they see what you do.
Social networking is key. Twitter has been god for me. StumbleUpon is next to useless for me, but great for my other half, so guess that depends on your subject. Good luck!

Technically I started blogging years ago, but my current web hosting plan and blog has been up for over a year, 14 months or so. My current blog as been up and updated daily for about seven months now, with a few short exceptions when I simply can't get the work up because of some external factor. I'm a pretty minor force though, only about 40-60 unique visitors daily and a few hundred actual hits a day.
I began blogging last year for the first time. It was also my first time publicly sharing my writings/musings/explorations into humor.. While I write primarily for my own edification, I enjoy sharing it with others. I've had visitors from over 190 countries and receive somewhere between 900 - 1300 pageviews daily. As far as unique visitors, those are far less, an average of about 300 - 400 daily. I do not subscribe to others' blogs simply to 'boost' their ratings. If I enjoy the content of a blog, I'll return. In the same respect, I do not respond to spam mail "follow my blog and I'll follow yours" kind of thing. Given that I put a lot into my writing, I prefer authentic readers rather than spam bots (or people who click as if they were a spambot). Best wishes to everyone here. I find that after Google the largest traffic to my blog comes from disqus. So chuck the default blogger comments and switch to disqus. A ball-park breakup is out of 130,000 total pageviews, ~90,000 from Google search and ~6000 from disqus. Rest from RSS / email etc.

I must say that traffic has picked up on my blog as I have added a Facebook page to it and also now using more social networking buttons. Plus, keeping in touch with fellow bloggers also helps a lot. Of course, content is king, and having interesting posts to read will help drive traffic. I have learned a lot from other bloggers as they are a great resource.

I started almost six months ago and average about 400 visitors each day. Slowly picking up readership.
I started the blog I publish for now about two months ago and I get about 300 uniques a day with about 1000 pageviews. I have my slow periods with this blog no doubt (and it's usually when I don't post a thing for a few days) but I plan a lot of my content and put a lot of thought into my responses. What I really want at this point is some guest articles and more invested comments from my readers. I don't have that many on GFC; in fact most of my readers are from feed burner, which I'm still a novice at using. I'm hoping that this will improve with time, and I just keep doing what I'm doing now ^^;
I started my blog in March this year and dont get many page views at all compared to what you guys get (35 a day), it has disheartened me in the past but now it doesnt bother me because im writing about what im passionate about and just to know those few people that are reading is a good feeling, obviously it would be nice to have more readers but maybe it will happen one day :)
@Swigdigs, blogging what you love about is the key to a successful blog. The only thing i am seeing here is you do not have the seo idea and promotional skills. you need to learn on that...

Well I just started over a week ago, and I'm getting between 75 to 95 visits per day.
I don't really care how much traffic I would get when I started... I just started 3 months ago, but luckily, I was able to have visits and comments from other bloggers... that's already something for me...
I get between 1500 and 4000 views a day now. I started blogging in June 2011.
There are many ways to get people to read your blog:
- of course, the content should be interesting/funny/helpful/relevant
- post a link to it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social networking site
- build a relationship with other bloggers and promote each other
- have a giveaway
Most importantly, enjoy what you write about and just have fun. Don't worry too much about page views and stuff like that, it will come with time.

Wow some of you guys get tons of traffic. I had mine since April-2012 and get around 150 visits. I don't know if this is good or bad but its a poetry blog and I'm not quite sure how to get traffic from Google for my poetry. Its mostly from my followers and sites I'm linked to.

I started blogging about 3 months ago and on average get 10-20 visits when I immediately post and that drops down a bit as time passes between each post. Gradually the readership is getting larger...very gradually lol. But then again, I think any creative type blog is a bit of a risk and seeing as mine is fictional, I'm glad to get what I have! I have to say though that these blogging communities are fantastic! I just discovered them...yesterday. Blogging is a learning process apparently lol.
I started my Blog in 2010 and now get around 2,700 visits a month. Not surprisingly, through trial and error, it has taken a while for me to establish what kind of content proves most popular. I am still very much a novice/ newbie and view my pages views closely to see how I am doing. When you post good content sometimes other blogs will take notice it and share it on their own blog...When readers see the link was posted by someone else, it drives traffic to that original source.
