I prefer CANNON. I used to have a CANNON but I had to give it up. Then I had a NIKON which sucks big time. I prefer the quality and easy-to-understand userface of Cannon. Of course I'm referring to their Digital Cameras NOT DLSRs.
They have both proven their good quality in the market, but i personally prefer Canon. I enjoy both but Canon is more realistic. I have tried almost every brand and every brand has its weird corks, olympus makes pictures colors little unrealistic ( i myself have olympus dslr camre at the moment) , pentax really really sharpens and is very sensitive. Nikon is pretty much as good as Canon but i haven't had a contact with a bad Canon camera. Even hybrid cameras. You ALWAYS get your moneys worth or more! And canon is the easiest to handle,
I agree! I am a canon user myself. CANON EOS 400d. and its easier... Im planning to buy another DSLR but I think a different body would be much better. right? rather than buying a different brand?
As a matter of fact. If you do not plan to raise the bar really high and just a little, like Canon 550D or 600D then i would rather improve the lenses more than body itself. Although i have tried canon 450D with original lens and it was pretty bad, not to critisize your model ( i haven't tried 400D) the pictures were 5times worse qualitied that 600D. When you do not want to spend 2 times more than before i would recommend 600D. It's magnificent in my opinion :)
And if you've settled with Canon so far, i would rather stick with it more than switching it .
yup. I think I want to change the body before buying lenses. Besides i need to save more money for quality lenses and secondly I need to improve my skills before doing so. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Are you a photographer?
Glad i could help out!
Well i'm not proffessional photographer if you mean that. It's just a hobby for me :) Has been a hobby for 8 years almost :P
wow! That's fine... Its also my hobby and I am really fascinated with it. Thanks again. Maybe you could check out my blog. I have posted my first ever photoshoot and maybe you can comment anything (whether good or bad) about my photography skills :D hahaha
I love my canon t3i. The Nikon DSLR are very nice too. They are a little better than the canon competitors but I think that it is very minute. In my opinion, It is not that noticeable and it is not worth the extra couple of hundred of dollars. To take good pictures I think you need to have have two things: knowledge about your camera and quality lenses. Check out my blog and see my pictures taken by my t3i. www.lifesfables.com
I must agree with that, that you need good lenses more than very expensive bodies :)
You just cant compare as both companies give almost similar quality. Further, camera is like a pen, merely owning the best pen in the world will not make one a Shakespeare.
Agree with Isabel. Like THE bottom line! :D The last sentence will make it on the quote of the lifetime :D
Personally, I'd say make isn't that important - you can get so many different types of cameras per brand that I'd suggest just searching for a camera with the best specs for you, and then having a look at the different styles and picking between those. :)
That is true. But i myself think that Canon an Nikon have the less surprises. When i purchased my olympus ( i only got it because i got the best deal in the world) i was pretty satisfied at first but further or i found flaw after flaw and now i could just throw it in the dumpster. As better i get with the camera, that worse the camera gets. Expectations get higher and the camera starts failing more.
My bottom line is that I THINK the nikon and canon have the less surprises and the odds to get a sucky camera is lower than with other providers. I don't mean that there aren't good cameras besides nikon and canon. Just that you may fail with choosing the others more :)
