I personally feel that women are somehow more inclined to the home sphere and responsibilities,and now the pressure is more as they handle more than 2 things at a time, home,office and children.

Well....I am inclined to vote for woman emotionally ....as it reminds me of my mother specifically but....if I go unbiased I believe both of them contribute significantly in their own sphere of responsibilitities....!

You are absolutely right Ritesh,appreciate your answer. honestly speaking, actually it is the mothers these days who are striving very hard, coz they love us so much. and our father's have an advantage these days, their burden has lessened coz women are working in all the spheres these days. So its the woman who is taking more of tensions for her children and family. this is what I opine.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but I can speak for my family. As far as kissing the boo boo's, chasing away the boogeyman, helping with homework, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc...that goes to me. My husband is the sole provider for the family right now though. He goes to work before the sun comes up and gets home after the sun goes down. So that side of it goes to him. I would have to say we are equal partners!

I should add that when I go back to work he will have to pick up some of my slack at home. I don't know how I would balance work and everything I do already. Being a mom has no time off. It's like two full time jobs by itself.

Both are under tremendous stress in the modern world. Gender roles are no longer seen as clear cut, which leads to positives and negatives. With added expectations of both men and women in the modern world it is kind of a toss-up.

I agree. The gender roles are getting confused and what was once a male's job is now a woman's job. For example, being the money maker of the household. Women are striving to become more than just a housewife and carer for the family but at the same time, still fulfill this role. It's a difficult situation to analyse in general!

Hmmm.. I think Ill go with men... even in the jungle, the male is always the one doing the hunting for food... men are also the leader of a pack...
and by nature male has big responsibilities to its family and community

Dustin, it's not about country's culture,it's about ones independent thought process, relations should be mutually handled and the responsibilities too. However, both are handled more by women at times, than by men. I wish my country would have had lovely men who could handle stress and work the way women here handle it.
