Why People Do Not Add Original Pictures At Profile

Crown on Profile, Pitures

It seems too funny when people does not add their original pictures in their profile. You can see it everywhere even if in Bloggers too for a strange reason.Actually adding original picture(s) will enhance their visibility in blogosphere.I came to notice that people add some logos, pic of animals, etc. etc.

First of all I believe it is about content. Does adding a photo of yourself make your content or blog any better, ?

Secondly, people don't always want to have their private details/picture plastered all over the internet, so an avatar or favorite pic makes good sense.

Thirdly, maybe people wish to discuss things about their private lives and having your face on show could make you a target with family or friends, or could be plain embarrassing, so it's a way of expressing yourself freely.

Having an avatar or actual photo is really an individual thing, neither good or bad.

My blog is a satirical take on retro food. The can of dehydrated water is perfect for my avatar and theme of my blog. The one I use here is a real pic of me.

Posting a photo of a blogger is a personal preference. If the website allows animals, caricature and non-human being as an avatar, so be it. I myself always use my own photo. It is my personal preference as a travel writer.

I think it depends on what you are using your blog for. If it's a personal blog, many don't want to have themselves plastered all over the internet, if it's for a business oriented blog, it's a good way to prove you are actually a real person, and build your brand!

I do on other networks, but actually know someone on this one and prefer anonymity. Not that it would be a huge deal if she found out, but I've mentioned her in my blog.
