Almost all of my english classes (high school & college) consisted of assignments based on some writing prompt or a lists of such prompts. Most of the time I loathed them.Maybe because they were snooze-tastic or because I felt they were intrusive to my creativity.

As a poet who shares her poems/prose on her blog now I find that sometimes thos prompts can be helpful.
