We bloggers love attention and sharing it seems the best place to do this is on youtube but many are too shy, insecure or just prefer writing (hiding) behind the PC. Yet in my experience vlogging on Youtube people respond better, sooner and faster.
Are you on Youtube (if so leave your ID so I can add you as a contact)? If not, why?
When I vlog, I pretend I am talking to myself or my best friend. I also remind myself that no one will see it unless I want to, drink a cup of Peppermint tea, relax and shoot. I also don't edit or watch it before I post so I don't lose my nerve. Try it and add me as a contact, I'd love to sub your channel (my ID is AjahDawn)
I haven't started yet but I will maybe this summer. I like sticking to posts for now because there's still a ton of stuff I want to write about and SEO wise it's easier to get found and ranked on google if you've got text on your post as opposed to just having a video (cant be crawled unless you have transcripts).
I will be covering some stuff that need to be demonstrated soon so I'll be making videos for that. But I doubt I'll vlog though. I just feel a lot more comfortable writing than talking. It's not really a shyness thing, it's just easier for me to write. Some people find it easier to talk, other's don't. I think it's just better to stick to what you're good at.
Sure but there are other ways to vlog than put your face out there. Have you thought about audio only? Where you read and record the text. I know that everyone is looking for better ways to dominate Youtube and SEO videos have tons of views which means Adsense $$
Yes...for anyone building a blog this is a very valuable tool!! I recently lost all of my videos due to a little war with an affiliate company I'm with and YouTube. Just rebuilding my stuff back up again under a new account! But I noticed a lot more traffic when I started making my own videos!
