Like water, ready to take the shape of whatever it enters, Zen has long lived at low ground, cherishing a spirit that can fly high in the sky and melt into everything -- soft as a cloud or vapor, or hard as rock or ice, furious as flood or tsunami, still and pure as a mirror.
I often look beyond the sea, lost in thought. If only I were water, not the ocean, not a like -- a dewdrop would be enough. An imaginary comfort, but it is happiness all the same.
