Uche Ohia
Uche Ohia is the Principal Consultant at Silverduck Consulting, a legal advisory and research consultancy firm with offices in Nigeria and Ireland. He is also the Director/CEO of Centre for Leadership, Accountability and Productivity (CLAP), a leadership development and youth empowerment NGO registered in Nigeria and Ireland.
Uche Ohia holds a BA and M.A in history obtained at the University of Uyo and the University of Port Harcourt respectively. He also has a law degree from Imo State University, Owerri and is an alumnus of the Nigerian Law School, Bwari - Abuja. After a stint in the private sector where he rose to management positions in several companies, Uche was elected and served as Vice Chairman (Deputy Mayor) of Ideato North Local Government, Imo State (1999 – 2002).
An astute researcher and graphic writer, Uche's syndicated column 'Silver Lining' is published in ThisDay and many other newspapers and online media. Uche served as centennial president of the Rotary Club of Owerri – Nigeria from 2004 to 2005 and as Asst. Governor of Rotary International (D. 9140) from 2006 to 2007. Elected as President - General of Arondizuogu Patriotic Union (APU) worlwide in October 2008, he belongs to many professional bodies.
