Located within the Gunung Inas Forest Reserve, Sungai Sedim (or Sedim River) is one of the best places to go for white water rafting. The 17km-long river's fast flowing waters and rapids is excellent for white water sports activities. The river is also one of the best-known heart-stopping water rapids in the world and was chosen as the spot for the Kedah Open Wild Water Challenge event.
Sungai Sedim offers a 17km stretch comprises 13 extreme rapids ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 5. The skills of white-water rafters are taken to the limit as the ravaging waters take whoever dares to test its patience. During the raft, you will be given some time to build water confidence and learn the capsized drills. Rescue team (in kayak/ tubing) will stay near the rafting team to ensure the safety of the paddlers.
