Upon Butterfly Wings

'Upon Butterfly Wings' is a not-for-profit child loss organisation based in London in the UK.

UBW is founded in memory of a very special little man called Bobby and his Angel friends and is made up entirely of ladies and gents who spend their own free time making a difference.

UBW provide support to parents and the families of those who have lost their baby or child in two ways ...

• by donating knitted, crochet and sewn blankets, teddies, burial clothing and lots more to hospitals and funeral homes for babies lost to early miscarriage, during mid and late term pregnancy, stillbirth and infant death. By doing so, we hope to help raise awareness to health authorities and the general public about these much needed basics. It is alarming to know that many hospitals throughout the UK and some funeral homes, simply do not have the resources to dress or wrap these babies in between death and being laid to rest and that many parents are left with no choice but to shop around for suitable burial clothing and no guidance about where such items can be found.

• by donating Memory Boxes to families who have sadly lost their child at any age who were not provided with one by their authorities. By doing so we hope to help parents and families who may not know where to begin when it comes to starting a memory box or how they can continue to make memories, whether they have weeks, months or years worth of memories to treasure.
