Vuthy Chour
Vuthy Chour was born in a middle-class family in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. He has three siblings - two elder brothers and one elder sister. All of his siblings are businessmen. His father is a retired government official of the Ministry of Information while his mother is a businesswoman. He first graduated his high school, Zaman International School, in 2005, with a remarkable grade C+. Then, he was offered Cambodian national scholarship to study Laws at Royal University of Law and Economics; and he also studied another bachelor degree in education in English at Institute of Foreign Languages.
After graduating from the two degrees, he was offered his first job as an English teacher to Young Learners Program at New World Institute, but later was promoted to teach General English Program to young adults. In 2010, Vuthy managed to move a step further as he was recruited to work as an English Lecturer at Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), where he was obliged to teach general English to college students varying from freshman to senior.
Within nine months at HML Law Firm & Consultants, Vuthy was promoted twice. After working for the first three months, he was promoted to become a part-time Translator, and in six months, he managed to become a Legal Assistant at the firm. Also, Vuthy has experience in translating various legal documents. Currently, he is also a freelance translator of several translation companies.
